Hussey to replace injured Clarke in Champions Trophy

Centurion, Oct 1 (IANS) David Hussey will replace an injured Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke for the ongoing International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy.

Clarke had missed the matches against the West Indies and India due to a persistent lower back problem and will return home Thursday.

“The ICC has confirmed the event technical committee of the Champions Trophy has approved a change in the Australia squad for the tournament, which runs until 5 October,” ICC said in a statement.

Australia take on England in the first semi-final here Friday.
