Yousuf, Razzaq back in Pakistan’s Test squad

Karachi, June 22 (IANS) Pakistan’s Mohammad Yousuf and Abdul Razzaq, who snapped their ties with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL), were selected in the 15-member squad to tour Sri Lanka. Yousuf and Razzaq were released by the ICL last month and were eligible for selection in the national team. Razzaq was the first ICL cricketer to make a comeback to international cricket in the World Twenty20 while Yousuf will do so with the series in Sri Lanka.

Teenage left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Aamer and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal also found a place in the squad after their impressive performance in England. Shahid Afridi had requested the Pakistan Cricket Board for 15 days’ rest and will join the team for one-dayers in Sri Lanka. Pakistan will play three Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 in the series that starts June 29.
